The Summer School of Oriental Languages (Université d’été en Langues
de l’Orient) will be at Venice (Italy), Island San Servolo, 5-14 July
2018.
It is organized the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) in
partnership with Venice International University.
Numerous oriental languages are proposed at different levels as
Akkadian, Arabic, Armenian, Avestic, Coptic, Hieroglyphic Egyptian,
Ethiopic, Classical Greek, Hebrew, Latin, Greek, Persian, Phoenician
and Punic, Sumerian, Syriac.

The registration fees are : 280 Swiss francs (very close to the value
in US dollars) for students and PhD candidates, 450 euros for the
others. Accommodation is available at terrific price.
The board of the Summer School is glad to announce four scholarships
for students:
1. Two scholarships in Classical Greek. To be eligible, please add in
the part “comments” of the application, “I postulate for” this
scholarship and send a scan of your results in Bachelor and Master (if
you have got). The two best applications will receive the
scholarships.
2. Two scholarships in Classical Ethiopic (ge’ez). To be eligible,
please add in the part “comments” of the application, “I postulate
for” this scholarship and send a scan of your results in Bachelor and
Master (if you have got). The two best applications will receive the
scholarships.
